Laura Vargas, MS, BCBA

Founder & Executive Clinical Director

Laura Vargas embarked on her journey in behavior analysis in 1999 while pursuing her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Loyola Marymount University. After completing her undergraduate studies, Ms. Vargas gained invaluable clinical experience working with children and adolescents diagnosed with autism and related developmental and behavioral diagnoses. She honed her skills as a behavior specialist at the renowned Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD), where she collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement effective behavior intervention programs.

Fascinated by the potential of behavior analysis to transform lives, she went on obtain board certification under the mentorship of Dr. Jose Martinez-Diaz.  In 2014, Ms. Vargas founded Inspira Behavior and Advocacy Specialists, broadening service accessibility across communities in Los Angeles and Orange County. 

Through her efforts, she enhanced Inspira’s expansion in the autism services marketplace, evolving into a leading, scalable entity offering high-quality pediatric therapy and autism services with support from The Pine Street Group. In 2023, Ms. Vargas founded Peninsula Health Partners, building upon a solid foundation while embracing a fresh perspective with a focus on continued growth and innovation.

In addition to her clinical practice, Ms. Vargas is committed to advancing the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA) through education and advocacy. She serves as the Disability Support Services Specialist at Loyola Law School, where she provides advocacy support to law school students while continuing to educate faculty and staff on inclusion best practices. Furthermore, she actively contributes to professional organizations such as the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI).

Fluent in Spanish, Ms. Vargas ensures to provide culturally sensitive services, safeguarding that language barriers do not hinder access to effective treatment.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Laura enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the vibrant culinary scene of her native Los Angeles, and traveling to visit family in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico.
